Terms of Service
Effective 30 August 2026. Last updated 3 September 2026.
These Terms govern the use of ok-rich.com (the "Service"): the page, the checkout, and the photo you receive afterwards. By paying you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy; before checkout you confirm this by ticking a box. If you do not agree, do not pay.
Operator and contact
The Service is operated by Tobias Stolz / Weird Revenue, an individual based in Germany ("I", "me", "my"), from https://ok-rich.com. Full details are in the legal notice. Contact: ok@ok-rich.com
What you get
One (1) personal photograph of my thumb pointing up, taken by me after your order and sent as a digital file within 7 days of payment. It goes to the email address you paid with, unless you named a different one on the pay page, in which case it goes there instead (see Sending it to someone else). That is the entire product.
A payment does not buy: more than one photo, a specific pose, background, location, resolution or file format; a photo of anything other than my thumb; my time beyond taking and sending it; any commercial right; or any outcome in your life, finances or mood. Paying more does not increase the number of thumbs. It may increase the effort I put into picking an interesting spot, but nothing about that is guaranteed.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. If you pay on behalf of a company, you confirm that you may bind that company.
Price, payment and taxes
You choose the amount, minimum 5 EUR. Checkout is handled by Dodo Payments; I never see or store your card details, and Dodo's own terms apply to the payment itself. Prices are final amounts. I am a small business under § 19 UStG (German VAT Act) and charge no value added tax. Dodo Payments acts as merchant of record: it sells to you in its own name and handles any VAT or sales tax due where you live, so the receipt you get from Dodo may show tax that I do not charge.
Completing checkout is your binding offer; the contract is concluded when you receive the confirmation email. Contract language is English. The contract text is not stored separately; the confirmation email holds the essentials.
Delivery, and when it does not happen
I aim to send every photo within 7 days. I do this beside a full-time job, so if something delays me I will write to you rather than go quiet. If I cannot deliver at all, you get your money back in full.
Refunds and your right of withdrawal
This is digital content produced for you personally, so performance starts as soon as your payment is confirmed. At checkout you expressly request that I begin immediately and confirm that you know you thereby lose your statutory right of withdrawal once I have begun (§ 356 (5) German Civil Code). Where a mandatory consumer right cannot be waived under the law that applies to you, that right stands and I honour it.
I refund in full, without argument, if I fail to deliver, if I refuse your order under the section below, or wherever the law requires it. I do not refund because the photo was not the pose you imagined, because you changed your mind after receiving it, or because a thumbs-up did not make you rich.
A chargeback raised without a legal basis is a breach of these Terms; I may decline future orders from you.
Widerrufsbelehrung (German, for consumers in Germany)
Kept in German on purpose: German consumer law wants the withdrawal instruction in the consumer's own language, and the instruction is what makes the expiry above work at all. Same meaning as the section above.
Widerrufsrecht. Sie haben das Recht, binnen vierzehn Tagen ohne Angabe von Gründen diesen Vertrag zu widerrufen. Die Widerrufsfrist beträgt vierzehn Tage ab dem Tag des Vertragsabschlusses. Um Ihr Widerrufsrecht auszuüben, müssen Sie mir (Tobias Stolz / Weird Revenue, c/o Autorenglück #73720, Albert-Einstein-Straße 47, 02977 Hoyerswerda, ok@ok-rich.com) mittels einer eindeutigen Erklärung (z. B. per E-Mail) über Ihren Entschluss, diesen Vertrag zu widerrufen, informieren. Zur Wahrung der Widerrufsfrist reicht es aus, dass Sie die Mitteilung über die Ausübung des Widerrufsrechts vor Ablauf der Widerrufsfrist absenden.
Folgen des Widerrufs. Wenn Sie diesen Vertrag widerrufen, habe ich Ihnen alle Zahlungen, die ich von Ihnen erhalten habe, unverzüglich und spätestens binnen vierzehn Tagen ab dem Tag zurückzuzahlen, an dem die Mitteilung über Ihren Widerruf bei mir eingegangen ist. Für die Rückzahlung verwende ich dasselbe Zahlungsmittel, das Sie bei der ursprünglichen Transaktion eingesetzt haben.
Vorzeitiges Erlöschen. Das Widerrufsrecht erlischt bei einem Vertrag über die Lieferung von nicht auf einem körperlichen Datenträger befindlichen digitalen Inhalten, wenn ich mit der Ausführung begonnen habe, nachdem Sie ausdrücklich zugestimmt haben, dass ich vor Ablauf der Widerrufsfrist mit der Ausführung beginne, und Sie Ihre Kenntnis davon bestätigt haben, dass Sie durch Ihre Zustimmung mit Beginn der Ausführung Ihr Widerrufsrecht verlieren (§ 356 Abs. 5 BGB). Diese Zustimmung geben Sie bei der Bezahlung.
What you may send me
Checkout has an optional message field, and it really is optional. Do not use it for anything illegal, threatening, hateful or sexual, or for other people's personal data. I may refuse an order and refund it in full if the message is abusive or incompatible with a photo of a thumb, or if I cannot deliver for another reason. I do not have to explain the decision, and I will not keep the money.
Sending it to someone else
The pay page has an optional field for a different delivery address, so the photo can be a gift. If you use it, you confirm that you are entitled to give me that address and that the person may reasonably expect to hear from you. You remain responsible for the address you enter; I have no way of checking it.
What I do with it is narrow on purpose. I use the address exactly once, to send that one photo, and the email names you as the sender so the recipient knows why it arrived and whom to answer. I never add it to a list, never write to it again, and delete it on the schedule in the Privacy Policy. If the recipient objects, I stop and delete the address; if I have reason to believe an address was given to annoy someone, I may send the photo to you instead, or refuse the order and refund it in full.
What you may do with the photo
The photo stays mine; you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence. Show it, share it, post it, print it, make it your wallpaper. Not allowed: commercial use, advertising, resale, training data sets, editing it so that it appears to endorse a product or person, or presenting it as a photo of someone else.
Top contributors board
The name you type on /pay appears publicly on the front page together with the amount you paid, ordered by amount. Type "anonymous" if you would rather not appear. Entries are grouped by name, so paying twice under the same name adds up into one line. If a payment is refunded, the amount comes off that line automatically, and the line disappears once nothing of it is left. How that name is handled, and how to have it changed or removed, is in the Privacy Policy.
Wall of Thumbs
The front page has a small gallery of sold thumbs. Your photo appears there only if you ask for it, by writing "wall me" in the checkout message field, and only for as long as you want it there (see the Privacy Policy).
The counters on the page
The page shows the total paid so far and the number of visitors. Those numbers come from my own server and are not decoration: the amount moves only on payments and refunds that Dodo Payments has confirmed, a refund takes its amount back off the total, and if the numbers cannot be loaded the page hides the counter instead of showing an invented figure. They remain informal counters, not audited accounting.
Complaints and rights notices
If you believe something here infringes your rights, is unlawful, or you simply want to complain about how this went, write to complaints@ok-rich.com. Tell me who you are, what the problem is, and which page or photo it concerns. I read every one of them and answer.
Availability and changes
The Service is provided as-is and may be unavailable, slow or wrong. I may change these Terms; the date at the top says when. For a payment already made, the version in force at checkout applies, unless the law requires otherwise.
Liability
I do not limit liability that the law says I cannot limit: intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, and mandatory product-liability rules. Subject to that: I am not liable for lost profits, lost data or other indirect or consequential damage; for slight negligence I am liable only for breaching duties essential to this contract, and only up to the typical, foreseeable damage; and my total liability for a claim connected to a payment is limited to the amount you paid for the order that the claim concerns.
Governing law
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods and conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer with mandatory protection in your country of residence, that protection still applies to you. I do not take part in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (§ 36 VSBG).
General
If part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in force; failing to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, the Privacy Policy and what you confirm at checkout form the whole agreement. Payment, hosting and email involve third parties (Dodo Payments, Hetzner, Google); their outages are outside my control.
